This is a plain explanation of what SkillsPad costs and what you get for it. If you are already on a paid plan, read the last section first — it is the one that affects you.
The plans
SkillsPad has 5 plans: Launch, Grow, Pro, Business and Enterprise. You can change plan at any time from your dashboard.
- ✓Launch: Free, 10% fee per sale
- ✓Grow: 230 GHS/month, 6% fee per sale
- ✓Pro: 450 GHS/month, 5% fee per sale
- ✓Business: 890 GHS/month, 4% fee per sale
- ✓Enterprise: Custom, 3% fee per sale
What the fee per sale means
The fee is what SkillsPad takes when you make a sale. It is taken from the sale, and the rest is yours. The fee is all-in: the percentage you see is the whole percentage.
- ✓On a plan with a 6% fee, a sale of GHS 100 leaves you GHS 94.
- ✓There is no separate tax added to the fee afterwards. We pay that out of our share.
- ✓Paystack's own charge for taking the payment is separate and is shown to the buyer at checkout.
Every price includes VAT
VAT is the government tax on what you buy. On SkillsPad it sits inside the number you see, not on top of it. If a plan shows as 230 GHS a month, 230 GHS is what leaves your account. Nothing is added at the checkout, and the price on the pricing page is the price on your statement.
AI is included in your plan
Every plan comes with a number of AI credits each month, including the free one. One credit is one use of most tools; a 14-day content plan uses three. This is a large part of what your plan pays for — the AI costs us money every time it runs, and including a good amount in the plan means you can use it without watching a meter.
- ✓Credits reset at the start of each calendar month and do not roll over.
- ✓Launch: 20 AI credits a month
- ✓Grow: 200 AI credits a month
- ✓Pro: 500 AI credits a month
- ✓Business: 1,500 AI credits a month
- ✓Enterprise: unlimited AI credits a month
If you are already on a paid plan
Your price and your fee are held until 26 December 2026. Nothing about what you pay changes before that date, whatever happens to the published prices. If you upgrade during that window, your held pricing follows you to the new plan. We will write to you before the date, about your own plan specifically, well ahead of any change to your account.
Questions
Can I change plan in the middle of a month?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged pro rata. Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Launch is free to use. It has a higher fee per sale than the paid plans, so it costs you more per sale and nothing per month.
Do I pay VAT on top of the plan price?
No. Every price shown on SkillsPad already includes VAT, so the number you see is the number charged.
What happens to my products if I downgrade?
Your products stay where they are. If a product type is not on your new plan you will not be able to publish a new one of that type, but nothing already published is taken down.
